Duane Betts and Palmetto Motel
Guitar virtuoso, singer, songwriter and bandleader Duane Betts has forged a distinctive path through American rock & roll, blending blues, Southern rock, country and roots music with the improvisational spirit that has defined his remarkable career. His latest chapter is Duane Betts & Palmetto Motel, whose 2026 album, Isle of Hope, was produced by Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb (best known for producing Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, John Prine, Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell and Rival Sons). “The warm tones on Isle of Hope… hit with an emotional resonance that transports listeners through shadows into light.” — No Depression, June 2026
The son of legendary Allman Brothers Band guitarist Dickey Betts, Duane spent nearly a decade playing alongside his father in Great Southern. He later toured with Dawes and joined Jamtown, the supergroup featuring G. Love, Donavon Frankenreiter and Cisco Adler. Betts has also recently joined artists including Widespread Panic, Marcus King, Little Feat and Ryan Bingham onstage, further establishing his reputation as one of today's most exciting and versatile guitarists.
Today, Betts is also co-leader of The Allman Betts Band with Devon Allman and the annual Allman Betts Family Revival. Whether leading Palmetto Motel or collaborating with some of today's finest musicians, Betts continues to honor a legendary musical tradition while creating a sound and legacy distinctly his own.
